Taylor writes to his brother Charles mentioning his loneliness; a trip to Staunton to preach and "induce seceding brothers to return"; J. William Jones' lecture on "Boys in Grey"; his own lecture on Rome with lantern slide accompaniment from Professor Dunnington; the successful preaching of Mr. and Mrs. George Needham (Charlottesville has been stirred to its depths); and regards to family.
